Post Weld Heat Treatment

POST WELDING HEAT TREATMENT: (STRESS RELIEF)
Performed to relieve the stresses associated with the welding process; portable power supplies and various sizes of ceramic heating elements are used. Eagle Testing Co. is able to raise the temperature at specified rates, hold it for the required period, and lower it as designated by the appropriate code or customer specification. All temperatures, times and changes in temperature are plotted on calibrated chart recorders and the charts are provided for customer’s records. This same equipment is also used to achieve and maintain pre-heat temperature during welding which provides ready, constant and precise heat for weld operations that far surpasses “rose bud technology” to produce superior welds.
